Nicole Rijkens, co-founder of Pantopicon, is looking for an intern or student-assistant to assist her in her PhD research, which she is currently carrying out at Maastricht University's ICIS.

 

The research is aimed at exploring how government institutions are using (long-term) future-related information in their policymaking processes, which obstacles they encounter and which room for improvement they experience.

Your assignment will be to screen international literature for experiences with methodological and strategic instruments like scenario-analysis and visioning techniques in a public context.

You will be based at Pantopicon's office in Antwerp (B).

 

Besides activities directly related to the research assignment, you will enjoy the possibility to assist Pantopicon in their day to day projects. This will allow you to broaden your scope with respect to the practice of future exploration and envisioning via hands-on experience with the methods, techniques and tools designed and employed by Pantopicon.

 

Duration and intensity of internship are to be discussed.

Nicole Rijkens, medeoprichter van Pantopicon, is op zoek naar een stagiair(e) of student-assistent ter ondersteuning van haar promotie-onderzoek dat zij in het kader van haar aanstelling aan de Universiteit Maastricht (ICIS) uitvoert. 

 

Het onderzoek is erop gericht om te verkennen hoe overheidsorganisaties informatie over de toekomst - zijnde veranderingen op de lange termijn - in beleidsprocessen gebruiken, welke obstakels zij daarbij ervaren en welke verbeterpunten zij zien. 

Jouw taak zal erin bestaan om internationale literatuur te screenen op ervaringen met instrumenten als scenarioanalyse en visievormingstrajecten in het pubieke domein. 

Je zal werken ten huize Pantopicon in Antwerpen (B).

 

Naast werkzaamheden direct gerelateerd aan het onderzoek, bestaat er ook de mogelijkheid om te ondersteunen bij interne projecten van Pantopicon. Zo krijg je zelf een bredere kijk op de praktijk van toekomstverkenning en visievorming en krijg je de kans om hands-on je inzicht te vergroten in het toekomstverkennend instrumentarium dat Pantopicon ontwerpt en toepast. 

 

Duur en intensiteit van de stage worden bepaald in onderling overleg.
