There has to be an alternative to letting the waves of the future wash over oneself, one's profession or business, an antidote to the eversurprising and so often disappointing wait-and-see (then act). It is with this in mind that BITE Europe came knocking on Pantopicon's door in search for a way to proactively explore and envision the future of the oral care sector.  As such, the Oral Care Team MMXV was born as a multidisciplinary think tank of people, most yet not all actively working in or having to deal with the oral care sector. Among them were dentists, dental group managers, a social security expert, a trendwatcher, a designer, a technology expert, . In three workshops - and some homework inbetween - Pantopicon projected the participants into the future, by means of future teasers, guided them to explore possible developments and their possible consequences for oral care and draft a possible image of the future of oral care. What started out as an abstract sketch of the future, was turned into an illustrated storyline by Pantopicon, after having invited the Oral Care Team MMXV to place themselves in the position of future clients, practitioners, etc. (e.g. scenario sketching via persona's). In a follow-up initiative, Pantopicon went on to testdrive the oral care future as sketched by the think tank with a select group of flemish dentists visiting BITE Europe's dental labs in Thailand.
